NAB 2010 Convention... in Las Vegas, Nevada

Our 31st year at the show, Arrakis Systems inc. exhibited our full line of consoles, automation, and studio furniture at the 2010 NAB Exhibition in Las Vegas Nevada. With estimated attendance of 88,000 for 2010, this show was 6% larger than last year's 83,000, though still 20% smaller than 2007's peak of 111,000.

Michael Palmer, President of Arrakis had this to say about the show...
" The show was great for Arrakis !!! Despite the recession, registered contacts in our booth were up over 40% from last year. I'm not surprised though, even with the contracting national economy Arrakis sales grew strongly in 2009 because of the many new products that we introduced. We expect 2010 to also be a banner year with the new ARC-10 console and ARCcast automation software that is new at this NAB. Also, keep your eyes open for several more major new products that are in engineering and yet to come out this year.

The ARC-8 won this prestigious award at the 2010 NAB convention in Las Vegas. Radio World’s “Cool Stuff” Award-winning products are selected each year by a panel of radio broadcast engineers as notable for their design, features, cost efficiency and performance in serving radio broadcast users.

Arrakis introduced the ARC-8 analog console at this year's NAB convention. The console, which began shipping in October of 2009, was very well received. The ARC-8 supports two mic channels, 4 stereo line channels, a PC USB sound card channel, and a channel that interfaces to an external phone hybrid. The USB-PC channel plays and records in digital to a Windows PC. One unique feature of the ARC-8 is that it has BOTH balanced professional and unbalanced consumer inputs and outputs. What is equally unique is that all of these features are packed into a console that is on sale for less than $800.

NEW at NAB... ARCcast Radio Automation software

Introduced at NAB and available for shipping in June is our new ARCcast Radio software. The software can be used as a standalone Radio automation system or used with our new ARC-8 console to create a powerful Live Air & Automation system. The software is designed to be extremely easy to use and to eliminate most On Air user error. The software supports three sound cards for simultaneous Play, Cue, and Automation outputs while also recording. The product is ideal for small market radio, community radio, church radio, web streaming, and podcasting. At only $750 msrp, ARCcast is affordable for many radio applications. NEW for NAB... Xtreme Version 1.9 Automation

Arrakis's Digilink-Xtreme automation product continues to be a favorite at NAB shows. The new Version 1.9 has a new user interface and many new web enabled features. The power of Xtreme is that it can be purchased as a complete product or as a monthly service. Either way, hundreds of radio stations around the world use Xtreme on air everyday.

Arrakis introduced the MARC-15 modular, analog console at last year's NAB convention. The console, which began shipping in November of 2008, has been very successful because of its many unique features: supports two external phone hybrids, a USB-PC module that plays and records in digital to a Windows PC, RJ45 connectors (cables included with the console... a $1,200 value), 15 channels with 30 inputs, and much more....
