Arrakis Systems has been attending the NAB show for over 30 years.

Michael Palmer, President of Arrakis had this to say about the 2011 show:

" The 2011 show was great for Arrakis! Attendance was up and international attendance was amazing. As always, our new products drew crowds. Our NEW~WAVE automation software, introduced for the first time at this show, was a huge hit. Our new Digilink-HD software, due 2012, generated a lot of excitement. Because all of our new ARC consoles feature built in USB sound cards for PC interface, our engineering focus this year has been on our software automation products to support those consoles. Sales in 2010 were way up over 2009 and we expect that to be a continuing trend for 2011."

HISTORY

Arrakis Systems' first NAB show was in 1980. It was at this convention that we had successfully unveiled and sold our first radio broadcast console, the 1000 Series.

With the success of our 1000 Series, we then produced the 150SC, 250SC & 500SC consoles the next year. Some of these consoles are still in use today.

These consoles made their first appearance at the 1982 NAB in Dallas and was met with great reception. The 2000SC was created later that year and was wildly successful.

In 1984, Arrakis Systems was proud to release its first ever furniture line made out of custom oak. Later in 1986, the Modulux furniture line was created, and was a breakthrough due to modular metal post and wood panel design.

We continued to pioneer and release new consoles and furniture over the years, and then in 1991, we displayed our first Digilink automation system. As a brand new technology, the Digilink, and its predecessors, got a lot of attention and praise.

Since then, Arrakis Systems has been the leader in Broadcast Automation, Consoles & Furniture. We have continued to innovate and expand our different product lines and reveal them every year at NAB.

As anyone who has worked a booth at NAB, it has always been a lot of work, some fun surprises and always exciting. We love to show off our new equipment, and to meet our customers in person.

We have a proud history at NAB and are very excited for 2012! We hope to see you there.
